In the "Grumpy Gato" advert for Amazon Prime, Stim Studio integrated the cat's new face into various shots. We first crafted a 3D model to perfectly match the appearance of the cat featured in all shots. We then meticulously tracked the cat's movements from the client's plate. Our team handled all aspects of production, including modeling, look development, grooming, animation, lighting, and compositing for the cat's face. This involved crafting a detailed 3D model, refining fur and whiskers, animating expressions, lighting the scene, and blending the modified face into the footage.
We aimed to achieve creative freedom in expressing the cat’s emotions by precisely manipulating his facial expressions, ensuring authenticity throughout the narrative. Our work enabled us to convey various emotions, from grumpiness to happiness, enhancing the advertisement's impact.
